Al Kasbah, nestled in London Colney, is a gem that offers an authentic Moroccan dining experience. Many diners rave about the extensive menu, highlighting the exquisite lamb tagine as a standout dish. As Sophie Buechler noted, it's "out of this world," while Luka Gogo echoed similar sentiments, describing the slow-cooked flavors and fragrant chicken with preserved lemon. Each dish is meticulously prepared, ensuring the spices and textures transport you straight to Morocco.
The restaurant's atmosphere adds to the charm. With cozy decor and warm, attentive service, guests feel welcomed and valued. Nikoleta Lipivani captured this sentiment perfectly: the environment is reminiscent of Morocco, enhancing the overall experience. Diners can also look forward to refreshing cocktails, with the strawberry mojito being a highlight, as Luka mentioned. The absence of alcohol on-site invites a community spirit, allowing patrons to bring their favorite beverages.
Al Kasbah’s dedication to quality extends to its dessert offerings, making each meal memorable. Diana Gogo praised the baklava and mint tea, epitomizing the perfect sweet conclusion to a meal rich in flavor. Priced reasonably, this restaurant stands out as a must-visit for anyone in search of a genuine Moroccan feast in the heart of England.

Great food. The lamb tagine was out of this world. The meat platter was really tasty as well and not dry at all. Friendly service and great sized portions. This place deserves to be recognised for an all round excellent experience.

I’ve visited this Moroccan restaurant multiple times over the past few days — and honestly, I’m so glad I did! I wanted to try as many dishes as possible, and every single one was absolutely delicious. From the rich, slow-cooked tagines to the light and fluffy couscous, every plate was packed with authentic Moroccan flavors and cooked to perfection. Each visit felt like a new culinary journey — the lamb tagine melted in my mouth, the chicken with preserved lemon was fragrant and tangy, and the vegetarian options were just as satisfying. I also explored their cocktail menu, and I have to say, the strawberry mojito was a highlight — fresh, fruity, and incredibly refreshing. It paired beautifully with the spices in the food and added a fun, summery twist to the experience. The staff remained incredibly welcoming and attentive every time I came in, making me feel like a regular after just a couple of visits. The cozy, authentic decor and relaxed atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy each moment. This place has truly left a lasting impression. If you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience in England — both food and drink — this is the spot. Highly recommended!

% recommend you to give this a try. The best point has to be the staff. The gentleman serving was caring, helpful and his happiness made the atmosphere Garlic Prawns were VERY good. The Sea Bream was a little tricky to eat due to it not being filleted but it was packed full of flavour. All finished off with a Moroccan Tea which I think was a variety of green tea with fresh mint. A really nice pallet cleanser to finish. Worth noting there’s no alcohol served but you can bring your own. It was a mid week meal for me and the lack of alcohol removed the temptation! I visited around 6pm, restaurant was fairly quiet with only one other table in there but I would imagine at peak times the atmosphere would be good since it’s a cosy, vibrant room.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Moroccan restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan touches that made it feel truly authentic. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was simply outstanding! I tried the lamb tagine and the vegetable couscous both were perfectly cooked, full of rich, authentic flavors and aromatic spices. Every bite was a delight. For dessert, the baklava and traditional mint tea were the perfect finishing touch sweet, refreshing, and beautifully presented. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine Moroccan dining experience in the heart of England.
